Endacopia Ending C — How to Get It

The full Endacopia Ending C route: the Prologue password, the three boss doors, the fish, the dollhouse, the morse code, and the Surgeon’s cave.

Ending C is Endacopia's secret ending — the one the community associates with the Surgeon. Unlike Endings A and B, you cannot stumble into it: its chain starts in the Prologue's toilet and runs underneath all three chapters, touching almost every optional system the game has. This page documents the full route, stage by stage, with every solution behind a spoiler toggle.

Community-sourced — this route is drawn from the community wiki and public playthroughs; we have not yet re-verified every step against the current Steam build. Steps are published exactly as the community reports them, labeled as such. Where sources disagree, the page says so instead of picking a winner.

What You're Signing Up For

Ending C is a completionist's route. It requires catching every fish in Timesville, visiting areas you'd normally never enter, and using windowed-mode tricks (Alt + Enter) the game never teaches. Do it on a dedicated save after you've seen an ending or two blind — knowing the normal route is what makes the detours legible. The achievement checklist overlaps heavily: the fishing achievement is effectively a prerequisite milestone on this route.

The Route, Stage by Stage

Each stage opens only when you open it. Stages 1–2 gate everything; 3–5 are the secret's body; 6 is the finale.

Stage 1 — The Prologue: The Password

Spoiler — Stage 1: the Prologue setup
  1. Beat the Prologue as normal (walkthrough). Whether you fight Clockey does not matter — older guides disagree on this, but the community wiki is explicit that either way works. (Typing the Cheshire password into the toilet is itself the way to skip that fight — see the Clockey page.)
  2. Use the plunger to reach the toilet and type in Cheshire. This flags your save for the Ending C sequence.
  3. Don't expect confirmation — there is no fanfare. From here on, you're on the route whether it feels like it or not.

Stage 2 — Chapter 1: Three Areas, Three Boss Doors

Spoiler — Stage 2: unlock every boss door, fight no one

Progress the storyline of all three areas right up to each boss — and stop there:

  • Misery Town: once the path to the Trapezist is unblocked.
  • The Office: once the door to the AI is unlocked.
  • Timesville: once the door to the Chameleon is unlocked.

Area names here follow the community wiki, whose map splits the game differently from our chapter pages — the beats live across our Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 walkthroughs. Do not fight any of the three bosses yet.

Stage 3 — Timesville: The Fish, the Dollhouse, the Graveyard

Spoiler — Stage 3: the Timesville secret chain
  1. Catch all 18 fish before finishing the zones. Every hour cycle has 3 exclusive fish, so you'll need to advance time to get them all — this also unlocks the I Want To Be A Fisherman achievement.
  2. Use the metal detector on the beach's sand (around the Middle-East part) to find Fish Paper, which yields the Old Key.
  3. Enter the dollhouse room northeast of town — near the waterfall — in windowed mode (Alt + Enter), and use the Old Key on the window.
  4. Visit the town as the butterfly and optionally talk to the residents — they'll tell you how they died.
  5. At the graveyard, two images appear: CT scans of the Bride and the woman the Surgeon “combined” her with. Match similar memories by clicking the black spots in the scans, press the button at the top middle to link them, then scroll down and fix all the holes in the brains. After that, you can leave.

Stage 4 — Misery Town: The Projector's Secret

Spoiler — Stage 4: the projection tent chain
  1. In the projection tent, use the metal detector on the sand to find a remote control, then use it on the room's projector — a path is displayed.
  2. Follow the projected path inside the mime tent (where you first found your hands). Going through its exit drops you into a darker Whack-a-Clown room.
  3. Go up and to the left until the environment changes, then head downstairs and solve the puzzles there. After you operate the 4 clowns, a woman appears — “4 LIVES, 4 BATTERIES, IT'S ENOUGH TO LET ME BREATHE AGAIN. IF YOU HELP ME I SAVE EVERYTHING” — followed by a jumpscare, and you're returned to the mime tent.
  4. Stuck on the fourth puzzle? Press Alt + Enter for windowed mode and move your cursor out of the game's window, then back in, on the opposite end.

Stage 5 — The Offices: The Morse Code

Spoiler — Stage 5: the phone call & the symbol puzzles
  1. At the train station, pull out your telescope and write down the number you find. Call it from your office — a morse code message plays.
  2. Decoded, it reads: “BEHIND STAIRS, WAIT A MINUTE”. Go to the vending machine room, go downstairs once, and hide behind the stairs you just descended — for a real minute. You'll be transported.
  3. Interact with the object hanging above at the end of the room, then work through the symbol puzzle series — turn symbols into dollars, asterisks into carets, obey the swap rules, morph the frowning face into a wink, and for the “^5” puzzle, click the smiley face in the window's top-left corner to reveal the fifth slot.
  4. Listen to the voices, come closer to the exit, and uncover the figure there. Jumpscare.

Stage 6 — The Finale: The Surgeon's Cave

Spoiler — Stage 6: Clockey, the cave, and the ending
  1. From here, play normally until the house part of the route — either saw works on this route (the toy/real saw fork belongs to Endings A and B).
  2. When you go up for the last time, head to Mellow's Room — a familiar face is waiting. Fight Clockey, then crawl into the hole.
  3. The hole takes you to the Surgeon's cave. Read his book; he will appear and tell you to sit down.
  4. Ask him questions. He explains the lore the whole game withheld — see the Surgeon page for who he is and what the Q&A covers.
  5. When you're done, you receive Ending C and unlock the Stay achievement.

What Ending C Actually Shows

The scene-by-scene content of the ending itself is being verified. What community sources agree on: it's the Surgeon's ending — the culmination of the ritual his appearances foreshadow, and the Q&A in his cave is its payload: the game finally explaining itself. We describe the shape, not guesses at the details.

Ending C Quick Answers

Does fighting Clockey in the Prologue affect Ending C?

No — the community wiki states it outright: beat the Prologue as normal, fight or don't (the Clockey page covers the password skip). Guides that claim otherwise predate the full release.

Do you need every fish for Ending C?

Yes, per the wiki's route — all 18, across every hour cycle. It doubles as the I Want To Be A Fisherman achievement, so nothing is wasted.

Can one run get Ending C and Ending A or B?

The wiki describes C as its own route from the Prologue onward. Plan a dedicated save — and use separate saves for A and B, since that fork lives in Chapter 3's saw choice. The full route overview is on the endings page.
