Clockey in Endacopia

Clockey (also searched as “clocky”) in Endacopia: the Surgeon’s clock-headed creation and the game’s early boss — his look, the first-fight mechanics, the Cheshire password skip, and the Ending C rematch. Community-sourced.

Community-sourced — this profile comes from the Villains Wiki (Fandom), the community wiki, public playthroughs, and speedrun documentation. Our verified layer only goes as far as what our own chapter walkthrough confirms; everything below names and fills in Clockey from those community sources.

Who Is Clockey?

Clockey is the game's early tutorial boss — a lanky blue humanoid with a red-and-white clock for a head and sharp claws. He is one of the Surgeon's creations: the community wiki ties the two together, and beating Clockey is what opens the Surgeon's lair behind the painting.

You meet him in Mellow's own room. He sits there motionless at first — then springs to life and attacks once you've paid the Wall Bank for the password and are trying to leave the house. He is the fight the game uses to teach you its combat before anything harder comes later.

What He Looks Like

A tall, thin, blue-skinned figure topped with a red-and-white clock face where a head should be — the game's clock motif made into a person. Claws, not hands. He reads as one of the Surgeon's patchwork creatures before you're ever told that in words.

The First Fight — and How the Combat Works

The encounter flips to a first-person fighting mode with health and stamina bars. It runs on a rhythm of three beats, and the whole fight is built to teach it:

Once he's taken enough damage he screams and attacks faster. If you lose, Clockey slices Mellow in half — but dying only resets the fight; exploration progress and items are kept. When you win, he vomits black goop, collapses motionless, and flies swarm around his body.

Can You Skip the Clockey Fight? (The Cheshire Password)

Spoiler — the password skip

Yes. The first fight can be skipped entirely by giving the toilet monster the password CHESHIRE before the Wall Bank ever reveals it — close your inventory, switch to the plunger, click the toilet, and type the code. The catch: the toilet monster chews Mellow out for already knowing it. The full code breakdown is in our passwords section.

Clockey & Ending C — the Rematch

On the Ending C route, Clockey comes back. Late in the run, he bursts through the wall of Mellow's room for a rematch: frailer this time, but his attacks are faster and more subtly telegraphed. He occasionally tries to pull himself out of the wall, which leaves Mellow an opening — land enough hits and he fades away into nothingness.

Does fighting Clockey in the Prologue matter for Ending C? Community sources don't fully agree: the community wiki is explicit that either way works, while one published route guide says not to fight him and go straight to the toilet. We present both on the Ending C page rather than pick a winner.

Clockey Quick Answers

Who made Clockey?

Community sources and the site's own verified layer agree: Clockey is one of the Surgeon's creations. Beating Clockey is what makes the painting fall and reveals the hole into the Surgeon's room.

Is Clockey a boss of the Timesville clock puzzle?

No — that's a different "clock." Clockey is a character fight in the opening stretch. The Timesville door clocks are a time-of-day mechanic, covered in the Chapter 2 walkthrough; Clockey's clock is the one on his head.

Does beating Clockey early change the ending?

On the Ending A/B route, no — he's a tutorial boss you're expected to beat. On the secret route the disagreement above applies: sources differ on whether the Prologue fight matters, and the rematch is mandatory on that route regardless.

Clockey is one of several confirmed cast members — see the full Endacopia characters page for the rest of the lineup, and the Mellow guide for the protagonist who fights him.
