What Kind of Game Fortune Mill Is
You were meant to be packaged into Box #724. Instead you crawl through a crack in the wall into the mill's gambling floor, where your first dart throw earns exactly 1 gold — and the exit is blocked by a character demanding 1,000,000. Fortune Mill is the loop of closing that gap: buy upgrades that multiply every throw, hire helpers that earn while you're elsewhere, unlock automation, and let each room's win feed the next room's engine. A jackpot in Room 2 hands a permanent bonus back to Room 1; a mid-tier sushi quietly adds a life to a Room 2 minigame. By the endgame a single throw is worth millions.
The Room Route at a Glance
The route is linear — each room's blocker is a toll you pay in that room's own currency — plus one parallel system. Pay late, not early: a blocker paid before the room's engine is online just slows the next room.
| # | Room | Blocker | Exit toll | Key systems |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Darts | the Massive Rat (the Verminous bribe) | 1,000,000 gold | Bullseye ladder, Trial Mode, helpers, Auto Throw |
| — | Shadow Realm (parallel) | bosses | — | Marks, permanent gold multipliers |
| 2 | Scratch tickets | the Giga Frog (the Gorgon bribe) | 1,000,000 money | Jackpots, Green/Purple tickets, Accountant Toad |
| 3 | Pachinko | Rimmington | 1,000,000 tickets | Auto Drop, dice games, Poker Pirate, Bubba |
| 4 | Sushi | Hivemind | 1,000,000 ribbons | Fuel → merge → ribbons, Poppy's Wheel |
| 5 | Gacha | — | — | Capsules, pedestal items, duplicates → stuffing |
| 6 | Escape | the Executor | 1,000,000 stuffing | Run-ending escape prompt |
Naming note: the store page calls the first two blockers the Massive Rat and the Giga Frog; the in-game achievements for bribing them are Verminous - BRIBED and Gorgon - BRIBED. Same characters, two names — both appear in community guides.
The Parallel System: Shadow Realm
Shadow Realm unlocks from the Room 1 dart tree — and it is not Room 3. It's a damage-check system you visit while your normal rooms keep running: time spent outside builds marks (one per 5 minutes, each worth +10% damage), and boss kills pay permanent gold multipliers back into the whole run. Entering early and doing almost no damage is normal — leave, upgrade, return. The synergy guide covers the marks economy in full.
Fortune Mill Quick Answers
What is Fortune Mill?
An incremental game by Lavaflame2 (the developer behind IdleOn) where you must make $1,000,000 to escape a mill you were meant to be packaged into. You climb through a crack in the wall into five gambling rooms — darts, scratch tickets, pachinko, sushi, and gacha — and each room boosts all the others.
How long does Fortune Mill take to beat?
A first clear typically lands around 4–6 hours, with an optimized route closer to 4.5. A completionist run that cleans up rare Gacha pulls and every jackpot takes longer.
How many achievements does Fortune Mill have?
51 on Steam. The list grew after launch — the New Game+ update added content — so older guides that say 40 are out of date.
Is Fortune Mill on mobile?
Yes. Fortune Mill has official iOS and Android versions released in mid-2026, after the June 2 PC launch — see our mobile guide for the official store pages and one iOS purchase bug worth knowing about first.
What's the actual goal in Fortune Mill?
Every room's exit is blocked by a character demanding 1,000,000 of that room's currency — gold, money, tickets, ribbons, and finally 1,000,000 stuffing for the Executor, whose bribe is the escape itself.
